Who Is S/Alexander?

My name is Stefan Alexander (S/Alexander) and I am a chainsmoking pop-culture junkie from South Carolina. When I’m not trying to write my thesis, apply to graduate school, find a job, or move furniture around in my dorm room, I am pretending that I know what I’m doing as the Vice Chairman of the Undergraduate Finance Board at Brown University. Chances are if you have been to Pembroke Campus you have heard my dance remixes blaring out onto the Green.

I love music and movies and am prone to describe mundane events in my life as if they were the plot of Sex and the City or “The Way We Were.” I spend most of my time smoking cigarettes, drinking Red Bull, wearing sunglasses at night, and trying to keep my dorm room cleaned – a feat that I am only ever moderately successful at. I must also confess that I am a recovering diva, but am occasionally prone to relapses – I ask for your forgiveness in advance.
